Version 3.0-draft · effective 9/9/2026
DRAFT — NOT YET REVIEWED BY A LAWYER. Do not sell tickets under this text until it has been checked.
Electron India LLC runs electronindia.co. This explains what we do with your information.
WHAT WE COLLECT When you buy a ticket: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, what you bought, the amount, and the date. When you use our site: basic technical information such as your device type, browser and approximate region, and cookie data as described below. When you contact us or enquire about a booking, table or partnership: whatever you put in the form. When you join the mailing list or a waitlist: your email address, and your name if you give it. At the door: the fact that your ticket was scanned, and when.
WHAT WE NEVER SEE Your card details. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Your card number never reaches our website or our database. We can see the card brand and the last four digits in Stripe's dashboard, and nothing more. We never store a card number, and we never will.
WHY WE HOLD IT To sell you a ticket and get you through the door. To contact you if an event changes or is cancelled. To handle refunds and card disputes. To prevent fraud and ticket touting. To keep the sales records that tax and accounting rules require. And, only if you have asked for it, to tell you about future events.
WHO ELSE HANDLES IT Our payment processor, to take payment and issue refunds. Our email provider, to send your tickets and event updates. Our hosting and database provider, which stores the records. Door staff, who see the name on a ticket at the moment it is scanned. Promoters see counts and totals for their own referral code — never your name, email or phone number. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other promoters or with venues beyond what the venue needs for entry.
MARKETING We only send announcement emails to people who ticked the box asking for them. Buying a ticket does not put you on that list. Joining a waitlist for an event means we can tell you about that event, not everything else. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works straight away. We do not send marketing text messages.
COOKIES We use the minimum needed to run the site — keeping you signed in, remembering your cart during checkout, and basic anonymous traffic counts. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require. Door scan logs: 90 days. Enquiries: two years. Waitlist entries: until the event has happened, then deleted. Mailing list entries: until you unsubscribe. Cached ticket data on door staff phones is wiped at the end of each event.
YOUR CHOICES Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, or to get a copy of it. You can also submit a request through the form on this page. We will act within 30 days. We may have to keep a minimal sales record for tax purposes even after deleting the rest, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
EVENTS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES We run events outside the US, including in Dubai. If you buy a ticket for one of those, your information may be handled by people working on that event where it takes place. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the door.
AGE Our events are for adults, at the age stated on each event page. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
CAMERAS AT VENUES Venues operate their own CCTV, on their own terms, and we do not control or hold that footage. We photograph and film our own events for promotion, as set out in our Terms of Sale.
SECURITY Customer records are readable only by signed-in staff accounts, enforced by the database itself rather than by the website being careful. Access is limited to the people who need it to run an event. If there is ever a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
IF YOU LIVE IN CALIFORNIA OR ANOTHER STATE WITH A PRIVACY LAW Several US states give residents specific rights over their personal information. Some of those laws only bind companies above a size we are well below. We are not going to hide behind that, so we offer the same rights to everyone who buys from us, wherever you live:
To know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, why, and who we shared it with. To get a copy of it. To have it corrected. To have it deleted. To tell us to stop using it. To not be treated worse for asking — you will not be charged more, refused a ticket or given a worse service because you exercised any of these.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, because we do not do it in the first place.
You can ask through the form on this page or by email. Someone you authorise can ask on your behalf; we will need to be able to confirm they are acting for you. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need longer and why.
COOKIES Set out separately on our Cookies page. In short: sign-in, checkout and basic traffic counts. No advertising, no cross-site tracking.
CHANGES If we change this policy we will post the new version here with its date, and keep the previous versions.
CONTACT Email us with any privacy question, or use the request form on this page.
